Chandra Bhedana translates to mean "moon piercing breath" and is a pranayama practice that works to cool and rest the body. By controlling the breath to move in through the left nostril and out through the right, we are promoting the energy to move into the Ida Nadi; the feminine, moon and yin side of the body, promoting a deep sense of calm and ease.
